Turning user
1 Hook all five straps of one side of the sling to the sling bar.
2 Prepare the patient for the turning, put the pillow into the place for
the new position. Prepare leg and arm for the turning. Raise the sling
bar and make sure user is turning gently to side.
3 Unhook all straps and tuck them in under mattress in to prevent
staff and user tripping over. Raise the bedrails.

If using the 4-point sling bar to turn a
user it is critical that you attach the sling
diagonally on each side of the centre
point. Do not attach the sling on only
one side of the sling bar.
Do not stand close to the sling bar
when turning in case it tilts suddenly.
