Activating quick freezing
The "Quick freezing" mode rapidly cools the
freezer to –24 °C.
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section "Locking and unlocking the con-
trol panel" on page EN-13.
2. Press the MODE SELECT button (21) re-
peatedly until the
shown on the display.
The freezer temperature display (18)
changes to –24 °C; the fridge temperature
display (19) remains unchanged.
Activating quick refrigerating and
quick freezing at the same time
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section "Locking and unlocking the con-
trol panel" on page EN-13.
2. Press the MODE SELECT button (21) re-
peatedly until the
cators are shown on the display.
The freezer temperature display (18)
changes to –24 °C; the fridge temperature
display (19) changes to +2 °C.
Deactivating quick refrigerating or
quick freezing
– Quick refrigerating is automatically deac-
tivated after 6 hours.
– Quick freezing is automatically deactivat-
ed after 24 hours.
To manually deactivate quick refrigerating or
quick freezing,
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section "Locking and unlocking the con-
trol panel" on page EN-13.
2. Press the MODE SELECT button (21) re-
peatedly until the (23),
indicators are no longer illuminated on the
display.

Holiday mode

CAUTION
Health hazard!
Insuffi cient cooling can cause stored
food to spoil. This could lead to a risk of
food poisoning when consumed.
■ Note that the shelf life of stored food
may be shortened due to a rise in the
temperature inside the appliance.
■ Remove stored food from the appli-
ance – even when only switching off
the appliance temporarily – and store
it in a suffi ciently cool place or in an-
other cooling appliance.
■ Consume thawed and defrosted foods
immediately and do not refreeze.
If you won't use the appliance for a prolonged
period (e.g. if you go on holiday), you can ac-
tivate "Holiday mode". This will save energy.
The fridge switches off when "Holiday mode"
is active. The temperature in the freezer is
kept at –18 °C.
Activating "Holiday mode"
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section "Locking and unlocking the con-
trol panel" on page EN-13.
2. Press the MODE SELECT button (21) re-
peatedly until the
shown on the display.
The freezer temperature display changes
to +18 °C; the fridge temperature display
shows "–".
Deactivating "Holiday mode"
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section "Locking and unlocking the con-
trol panel" on page EN-13.
2. Press the MODE SELECT button (21) re-
peatedly until the (23),
