Application
Can be used in conjunction with:
• Pressurised storage heaters
• Thermally controlled instantaneous heaters
• Hydraulically controlled instantaneous heaters
Operation with low-pressure displacement water heaters
is not possible.

Installation
Flush pipes thoroughly.
Prepare sink unit
Refer to the dimensional drawings on fold-out page I.
Fit mixer on sink
For mounting purposes, you will need only a 13mm socket
spanner, see fold-out page III, Fig. [1].
Note:
If the support plate (A) is omitted, the clamping length can
be increased by 15mm.
Connect sink mixer
With an open-ended spanner 19mm the flexible
connectors must be connected to the service valves,
see Fig. [1] and [2].
Open the service valves and check the sink mixer for
correct function
Pull lever
Press lever down
Turn lever right
Turn lever left
Check connections for leaks!
Flow rate limiter
This mixer is fitted with a flow rate limiter, permitting an
infinitely variable reduction in the flow rate by up to 50%.
The highest possible flow rate is set by the factory before
despatch.
Please proceed as follows to limit flow:
1. Strip lever lower part (B), see Fig. [3].
2. Loosen set screw (C) using a 3mm allen key, see
Fig. [4].
3. Pull off lever (D).
4. Unscrew cap (E).

5. Change flow rate by turning hexagon socket screw
1 - 5 bar
clockwise with a 1.5mm allen key. Turn clockwise (to
max. 10 bar
reduce flow) or anticlockwise (to increase flow), see Fig.
16 bar
[5].
Assemble in reverse order.

Maintenance

I. Cartridge, see Fig. [6].

1. Shut off the hot and cold water supply!

2. Strip lever lower part (B).
cold - right
3. Loosen set screw (C) using a 3mm allen key
max. 60mm
4. Pull off lever (D).
5. Unscrew cap (E).
6. Remove screws (G) and detach complete
cartridge (H).
7. Change either the complete cartridge (H) or
seals (H1).
Assemble in reverse order.
Make sure that the cartridge seals (H1) engage in the
grooves on the housing. Fit screws (G) and tighten
evenly and alternately.
II. Unscrew and clean aerator (13 929), see fold-out
page II.
Assemble in reverse order.
Inspect and clean all parts, replace as necessary and
grease with Grohe special grease (order no. 18 012).
Replacement parts, see fold-out page II ( * = special
accessories).

For directions on the care of this single-lever mixer, please
refer to the accompanying Care Instructions.
The use of flow rate limiters in combination
with hydraulic instantaneous water heaters is
not recommended.
