6.1 Defrosting
WARNING! Disconnect the appliance from the mains. To disconnect
the appliance from the mains, you must unplug the appliance or use a cut-
off device.
WARNING! Never use any mechanical items, knives or other sharp-
edged objects to remove the encrusted ice. Never use a steam cleaner.

The defrosting process can take several hours.
1. Activate the
FAST
appliance. This ensures that the food is cooled on the coldest setting before you
need to remove it from the appliance for defrosting.
2. Remove the content, wrap it in several layers of newspaper and store it in a
cooling box or a cool place.
3. Disconnect the appliance it from the mains: unplug the appliance or use a cut-off
device. Leave the door of the appliance open.
4. Place a container under the water outlet / water drain screw (A) to collect the
defrost water (s. fig. below).
