4.1

Preparations for use

Perform the following activities prior to use:
1. Check protective visor for damage.
WARNING
Reduced visibility or limited protective effect by scratched or damaged
visors!
► Replace scratched or damaged visors.
2. Adjust protective visor to the correct size (see "Adjusting the protective visor
to correct size", page 11).
3. Adjust the swivel mechanism (see "Adjusting the swivel mechanism",
page 12).
4. Remove transport foil from visor.
5. If necessary, attach a protective foil (see "Replacing the protective foil",
page 13).
6. Connect protective visor to respiratory protective device. Make sure that the
device is switched on and breathing air is available.
7. Donning the protective visor (see "Donning the protective visor", page 12)
