2 Connect

Depending on the hardware, the Securepoint NextGen UTMs and VPN
gateways are equipped with a different number of network interfaces LAN 1,
LAN 2 to LAN n.
Positionierung im Netzwerk
An appliance is placed behind the modem or router in the network structure. If
a network is run behind the appliance, a switch or hub must be connected.
The modem or router is connected to the interface LAN 1 of the appliance.
The switch or, as the case may be, the individual computer is connected
Interface LAN 2. The interfaces LAN 3 to LAN n are intended for further
networks. RJ45 cables are used for the connections.
Note: If your computer does not have a Gigabit interface and you connect
directly to LAN 2 without a switch or hub, please use a crossover cable.
