7 Safety instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information. If you do
not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling, we assume no liability for
any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guar-
antee.

7.1 Read first!

Children of less than 3 years must be kept away unless continuously su-
pervised.
■
Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off
the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended
normal operating position and the children have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years
must not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform mainten-
ance.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of ex-
perience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.

Children shall not play with the appliance.
■
Do not position the product directly below a mains socket.
■
A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a
workshop commissioned by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified per-
son, so as to prevent any danger.
■
WARNING: In order to avoid a hazard for very young children, this appli-
ance must be installed so that the lowest heated rail is at least 600 mm
above the floor.
