The shield drain wire is a bare wire that is in contact with the braided cable shield for the entire length
of the cable. The cable shield and drain wire contact the encoder housing. The user should connect the
other end of the shield to earth for EMC compatibility.

When this input is connected to Us for more than 250 ms, the incremental output signals are reset to
their "zero" value.
The metal connector body is in contact with encoder housing.
