1. In order to prevent spillage, remove the fuel from
the tank by closing the fuel valve and running the
engine until it stops. Then, open the tank cover
and let the petrol completely drain into a suffi-
ciently large container by tilting the machine or
using a hand pump. Then, close tank cap again.
2. Carefully turn the snowblower up and forward so
that it stands on the feed screw housing.
3. Remove the frame cover(s) from the underside
of the snowblower by removing the screws which
hold the cover(s).
4. Remove the wheels by pulling out the axle pin.
5. Carefully remove the hexagonal bolt which at-
taches the hexagonal shaft to the frame of the
snowblower and gently knock on the end of the
shaft to loosen the ball bearing from the right side
of the frame. Take care to not damage the thread
of the shaft.
6. Remove the other ball bearing from the left side of
the frame by removing the spring washer.
7. Carefully pull out the hexagonal shaft downwards
and to the left before pulling the friction wheel
drive from the shaft.
Feed screw clutch and drive clutch (Fig. 14)
If the clutch lever of the feed screw or drive clutch are
disengaged and in the disengaged position, the cable
should have very little slack. It should be taut.
The feed screw must stop within 5 seconds when the
clutch lever of the feed screw is disengaged. If the
feed screw clutch cannot not activated or deactivated
properly, adjust the feed screw clutch before operat-
ing.
If the snowblower drive periodically deactivates or
moves during operation when the drive clutch lever
disengages, adjust the drive clutch before operation.
Both the feed screw clutch and the drive clutch can be
adjusted at both ends of their control cable.
1. Loosen the adjusting nuts (d) on the Bowden ca-
ble holder (e).
2. Slide the control cable up or down by screwing
the adjusting nut in order to increase the cable
tension or provide more slack.
3. Screw the adjusting nut (d) to slide the cable down
or up so that the cable tension increases or pro-
vides more slack.
4. Tighten the nuts after the corresponding adjust-
ments have been carried out.
