11. Transport

Between work areas
1. Set the throttle to slow or into the partial load po-
sition.
2. Push on the steering rod sufficiently so that the
front part of the unit is raised from the ground a
little.
3. Activate the drive clutch without activating the
feed screw clutch.
Freewheel (Fig. 15 + 16)
Use the axle pin in order to use the drive or freewheel.
Unlock a wheel so that the unit can be turned easier
or unlock both wheels for freewheeling.
In order to unlock a wheel, slide it inwards and in-
sert the axle pin through the outer axle hole but not
through the wheel hub.
In order to block a wheel, slide it outwards and insert
the axle pin through the hole in the wheel hub and the
outer axle hole.
m Always switch the engine off, remove the key and
close the fuel valve when transporting the unit on a
truck or trailer. Do not transport the machine while the
engine is running.
Take special care when loading or unloading the unit
onto or from a trailer or truck.
Fasten the unit chassis onto the transport vehicle.
Never fasten the unit to rods or bars which could be
damaged.

12. Storage

At the end of the season or when the snowblower will
no longer be used for the next 30 days, comply with
the storage instructions.
1. Allow the engine to run with the fuel valve closed
until the fuel lines and the carburettor are empty
and it stops due to a lack of fuel.
2. Remove the safety ignition key and let the engine
cool down.
3. Lubricate the machine as instructed. (see lubrica-
tion).
4. Clean the engine and the outside of the snow-
blower thoroughly.
5. Repair all rusted or chipped paint surfaces; grind
the effected areas before applying paint and a
corrosion protection agent in order to protect the
metallic parts from rust.
6. Tighten all loose screws, pins and locknuts. Clean
or replace all damaged parts.
7. Cover the snowblower and store it in a clean, dry
place that children cannot access.

13. Maintenance

Attention!
Always shut the engine down and remove the spark
plug connector before carrying out any maintenance
work.
Maintenance plan
Daily, before the beginning of operation
• Check the fuel
• Check the engine oil
• Check fuel lines
• Tighten screws
After 20 operating hours
• Check drive belts
• 1. Engine oil change
• Lubricate all moving parts of the machine
After 50 operating hours
• Check the exhaust system
After 100 operating hours
• Check and clean the spark plug
• Additional oil change
Motor
Engine oil change
After 20 operating hours, the 1st oil change must be
carried out. It must take place after 100 operating
hours thereafter.
The engine oil should be heated slightly (approx.
50°C) before carrying out oil changes. This makes it
more viscous so that it flows more easily. If neces-
sary, run the engine for a brief period.
1. Remove the right wheel drive on the oil outlet side
by pulling out the axle pin and draining it into a
suitable pan (min. 1 l) positioned below.
2. Open the oil drain screw and filing nozzle (dip-
stick) and allow the oil to drain completely.
3. Close the oil drain screw again and tighten it
hand-tight.
4. Top up oil with a funnel, check the oil level with the
dipstick and seal it again.
Recommended engine oil SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40
(depending on the operating temperature).
Dispose of the used oil properly at a local used oil
collection point. Dumping used oil in the soil or mixing
it with waste is prohibited.
Please follow points 1-3 above to drain the engine oil
and close the filling port (dipstick).
When draining the petrol, close the fuel valve first,
then open the tank cap and let the petrol completely
drain into a sufficiently large container by tilting it or
suctioning it out. Then, close tank cap again.
