1. General information
The chapters "Special information" and "Operation" are intend-
ed for both users and qualified contractors.
The chapter "installation" is intended for qualified contractors.
Note
Read these instructions carefully before using the ap-
pliance and retain them for future reference.
Pass on the instructions to a new user if required.

2. Safety
2.1
Intended use
The booster heater is designed for retrofitting into the air dis-
charge area of the storage heater and allows additional heating
at times of higher heat demand outside enabled times.
Any other use beyond that described shall be deemed inappro-
priate. Observation of these instructions and of the instructions
for any accessories used is also part of the correct use of this
appliance.
3. Appliance description
if storage heating is insufficient to heat a room, the booster
heater can also be turned on. For the sake of economy, even if
it has been switched on, the booster heater with automatically
be shut down if storage heating is adequate.
On cold days in spring and autumn, the booster heater can
also be used as a standalone heating system so that the heat
demand is met by the booster heater alone.
The booster heater operates only while the fan is running; it
is connected to the fan through the discharge element of the
storage heater (230 V).
Power will be charged via the standard rate meter.
4. Operation
The booster heater is switched on and off via the standard
menu on the storage heater.
f use the "Menu" button to call up the standard menu.
f use "+" or "–" to call up the following menu items:

off = booster heater switched off
f Press "OK". Once the "editable parameter" symbol ap-
pears, you can switch the booster heater on or off with the
"+" and "–" buttons.
f Press "OK" to save the setting.
Note
if the storage heater is controlled via an external room
temperature controller with a booster heater switch,
booster heating must additionally be turned on with
this switch.
