5. Safety
Only a qualified contractor should carry out installation, com-
missioning, maintenance and repair of the appliance.
5.1
General safety instructions
We guarantee trouble-free function and operational reliability
only if original accessories and spare parts intended for the
appliance are used.
Material losses
- do not make any modifications to the booster
heater assembly.
- do not operate the booster heater if a component
is damaged or has fallen off, or if an error function
is present.
5.2 Instructions, standards and regulations

Carry out all electrical connection and installation
work in accordance with relevant regulations.
Material losses
Observe all applicable national and regional regula-
tions and instructions.
6. Appliance description
6.1
Standard delivery
- 1 booster heater element and fixing materials
- 1 temperature controller, 50 °C
- 1 temperature controller, 113 °C (marked purple)
- 1 relay assembly
- 3 spacers (plastic)
- 1 connection terminal
- 1 type plate
- 4 separate control wires
- 1 wiring harness (individual wires with insulating hose)
- 1 connecting cable, 3-core

Installation
WARNING Electrocution
f Before working on the storage heater, isolate
the connecting cables in the control panel.
WARNING Electrocution
If the storage heater is connected to an automatic
charge control system, there may be voltage at ter-
minals A1/Z1 and A2/Z2 even if the fuses have been
removed!
Material losses
dual circuit storage heaters must not be fitted with a
booster heater.

Installation sequence
1 Connection terminal and type plate

3 Relay assembly with spacers
f Push the connection terminal, together with the type
plate, into the socket on the angled panel in the control
panel interior. Secure the terminal to the angled panel
with the screw provided.
f Position the three spacers on the appliance back panel
in the holes provided. Push the relay assembly onto the
spacers as far as it will go.
f Secure temperature controller n3 (50 °C) below the lower
heater connectors on the interior wall with two M3x6
self-tapping screws (into the holes provided).
When doing so, you can tilt forward the angled panel to
which the terminal is connected and which is attached to
the control panel interior, by loosening (but not remov-
ing) its retaining screw.
Note
The metal cap of the temperature controller must lie
flat.
