4. Intended use

The AK 445/ 446/ 447 doctor stools are designed to offer maximum ergonomic comfort for medical
procedures performed in a seated position. The stools are not approved for the transport of people.
Any other use of the product is not permitted.
o The stools are designed for a maximum load of 135 kg.
o The chair is suitable to be used in the immediate proximity of patients.

5. Mounting and commissioning

The medical device is delivered completely assembled. If optional parts or accessories are part of the
delivery, please refer to the respective section in this user manual for mounting or connecting
instructions.
If not expressively mentioned in this user manual, no additional assembly or calibration work is
required to operate the medical device.

6. Product description and controls

The AK 445 and 447 doctor stools are available with either a round seat cushion (AK 445, AK 446) or a
saddle seat (AK 447). All adjustments are manually.

6.1. Height adjustment

The doctor stools are available with either hand or foot operated height adjustment.

6.2. Back rest

The optional back rest of the doctor stools features one lever for height adjustment and one lever to
lock the spring loaded in a fixed position or release it to follow the operators movements.

6.3. Arm rests

Arm rests are available for the AK 445 and AK 446 models. Available are either standard or multi
articulated arm rests.
