• The most appropriate location for the solar ventilator to be installed is on a south-facing wall that gets a
lot of sunlight. Bear in mind not to place the solar panel in a location shaded by buildings, trees, walls,
etc. Make sure that the ventilator is not adversely affected by the eaves of your roof or any overhang.
• The built-in fan (the fan runs on sunlight) sucks in fresh air from the bottom of the ventilator. The air
then passes through the ventilator where it is heated up before being blown into the house through a
hose or tube. The included thermostat means that you can select the desired indoor temperature.
Bear in mind that the intensity of the sunlight, the outside and interior temperature and the size of the
room can affect the heating function of the ventilator.
1. Decide where on the wall you should drill the hole for the tube or hose which will transport hot air into
the house. You can use the included hose or another ventilation duct tube that fits the flange and air
outlet (diam. 100 mm).
Ensure that there are no electrical wires or water pipes concealed below the surface into which you
intend to drill. Bear in mind that the air outlet on the interior wall of the room must be in a suitable
location.
2. Using the hose/tube as a guide, mark out the
position of the mounting hole on the wall. Make
the hole slightly larger than the diameter of
the hose/tube to provide room for the screw
of the hose clip and the electric cable. Use an
appropriate method of making a hole for the wall
in question.
3. Attach the metal flange over the fan using the 4
supplied nuts.
4. Measure the thickness of the wall and cut the hose/tube to a suitable length, fit it over the flange and
secure it using the included hose clip.
5. Attach the thermostat cable to the hose/tube using sticky tape or cable ties. You may also drill a
separate hole for the cable to pass through if you wish.
6. Pass the tube and the cable through the wall and hold the ventilator against the wall.
