Patient target group
• Healthcare professionals should use this product to provide care to
adults, applying the available information on the measurements/
sizes and required functions/indications, in line with the information
provided by the manufacturer, and acting under their own
responsibility.
Side effects
• No side effects that affect the entire organism are as yet known of,
provided that the product is used properly. Sometimes, pressure
points can be created or the wedge can slip in the shoe. Therefore
always wear well-fitting shoes, otherwise using the wedge will incur
risks.
• If your complaints worsen while wearing this aid, or if you notice
negative changes in the area of the body that you are using it on (e.g.
skin irritation), please report this to your doctor or medical specialist
medical retailer immediately.
• If you know that you are intolerant to one of the materials in this aid,
please discuss this with your doctor before using it.
How to wear the product (instructions for putting the product on)
• Note: Insofar as your doctor has not prescribed another course of
action, always wear the protect.Heel soft / wedge heel wedges as a
pair. This does not apply when the wedges are used to correct the
difference if the patient's legs are different lengths. The protect.Heel
soft / wedge heel wedges are only suitable for use if the skin is intact.
They may not be worn on open wounds. Furthermore, they are
intended for multiple use by one individual patient.
• Place your heel wedges in appropriate shoes. Ensure that the inside
of the heel of the shoe fully encloses the heel wedge.
• If pain, skin irritation and/or discomfort occur whilst wearing the
product, please remove the medical product immediately and
contact your doctor or your specialist medical retailer.
• If you have experienced ongoing problems due to wearing this aid,
please consult your doctor.
Instructions for care
• Wash by hand in lukewarm water using a mild detergent.
• Allow to dry completely.
