8. TROUBLESHOOTING

Symptom
The machine will not turn
on.
The machine does not
vacuum.
The chamber lid is closed
and is not aspirated
even though the pump is
running.
The sealing seam is un-
even and undulating.
Cause
• The power plug is
unplugged.
• The fuse is defective.
• The power cable is
defective.
• The machine is defective.
• The machine is switched
off.
• The packaging process was
not started.
• Vacuuming of the bottle or
vacuuming container was
not started.
• A function or favorite was
not selected.
• The machine is defective.
• The chamber lid has not
been pressed shut tightly or
long enough.
• The chamber lid gasket is
contaminated.
• The chamber lid gasket is
damaged.
• The Teflon tape on the
sealing bar is worn.
Remedy
• Plug in the power plug.
• Insert a new fuse; see Sec-
tion 9 "SPARE PARTS AND
ACCESSORIES", page 58.
• Use a new power cable; see
Section 9 "SPARE PARTS
AND ACCESSORIES",
page 58.
• Have the machine inspec-
ted by the manufacturer or
by a service center authori-
zed by the manufacturer.
• Switch on the machine.
• Start the packaging
process by pressing the
chamber lid shut.
• Start vacuuming by pres-
sing the rotary knob.
• Select a function or a
favorite.
• Have the machine inspec-
ted by the manufacturer or
by a service center authori-
zed by the manufacturer.
• Press the chamber lid firmly
shut and hold for 2 - 3
seconds.
• Clean the chamber lid
gasket.
• Change the chamber lid
gasket.
• Change the sealing bar; see
Section 9 "SPARE PARTS
AND ACCESSORIES",
page 58.
