Water

Along with the coffee bean, water is the main component
of your coffee. You should therefore make sure that the
quality of the water you use is good. Since tap water is
often too hard, we recommend that you use fi ltered water.
For a particularly fi ne fl avour, you can also use still mineral
water. Here too you should experiment, because not every
mineral water tastes the same.
• In addition to the water quality, the water temperature
is also decisive for the taste of your coffee. For the best
results, pour really cold water over the freshly ground
coffee. As well as cold water, most baristas also add ice
cubes (which have also been made from fi ltered water) to
the water container so that the water stays really cold for as
long as possible.
Enjoying Cold Drip Coffee Properly
Cold drip coffee is traditionally drunk purely on ice. But there
are lots of different ways to sample cold drip coffee. We have
summarised the most popular for you below:

delicious iced coffee with milk (and a scoop of vanilla ice
cream)
•
light alternative to fi lter coffee – just heat it up afterwards
•
coffee tonic – mixed with tonic water
• coffee lime tonic – mixed with tonic water and freshly
squeezed lime juice; also works very well with lemon or
orange juice
• gin coffee tonic – mixed with tonic water and your favourite
