5. Shape the two sheet metal clips above this.
5.5 Installation of roof duct sleeve
To determine the correct duct projection,
provisionally fit roof cowl vertically.

1. The PP 45 DFHK / PP 45 DFHL roof duct
sleeve should be cut to length so that the
sleeve has a projection of 1 cm beyond the PP
45 DH roof cowl. Cut the roof duct sleeve,
flush on the inside, to the finished size of the
interior wall.

2. On the inside of the building, clamp the sup-
plied polystyrene wedges under the roof duct
sleeve so that the sleeve has a gradient of ap-
prox. 1-2 % towards the outside. This is to pre-
vent any condensate that occurs from running
inwards.
NOTICE The duct should be fitted with a
gradient running from the inside to the out-
sideFailure to do so may result in water dam-
age.
Use non-pressing/non-spreading construc-
tion foam.
CAUTION Exercise caution when hand-
ling construction foam.
Wear protective gloves and goggles.
3. Remove the roof cowl and make sure that the
position of the roof duct sleeve does not
change.
4. Check gradient to the outside again.
5. On the outside, seal the gap between the roof
duct sleeve and the roof outlet duct all around
with construction foam.
Once hardened, cut off any escaped con-
struction foam flush.
