1   Intended use
If grinding noises are audible or if belts or coverings are damaged (wear,
unevenness), then the belts or coverings need to be changed. The cause for
this defect is often dirt.

4   Notes on particular risks
WARNING
Risk of injury due to sudden movements!
If the energy supply is switched on or if residual energy is still present in the
system, this can cause components to move unexpectedly, which may res-
ult in serious injuries.
• Switch off energy supply and secure against re-connection.
• Ensure that no residual energy remains in the system.

If not stated otherwise, screws can be secured using Loctite 243 or a similar
adhesive.

When assembling, use the parts from the spare parts package.

Move gripper to the "open" position.
Remove all compressed air lines.
Disassemble gripper from the machine/automated system.
Unfasten and remove the screws (37 and 63).
Remove the covers (72 and 73).
WARNING! Roller belt covering (20) may be under tension! The covering
(71) may be ejected when removing the screws (64).
Unfasten and remove the screws (64).
Remove the cover (71).
Unfasten and remove the fitting screws (31).
Loosen the set-screws (29).
Remove roller belt coverings (20).
Clean all parts thoroughly, check for damage and wear and grease with a
lint-free cloth or brush.
If necessary, replace seals, illustrated in gray in the graphic.
Fasten roller belt coverings (20) with fitting screws (31) to the housing.
Fasten covering (71) to the roller covering with screws (64) until an initial
tension can be felt.
Tighten fitting screws (31). Number of revolutions, see
fitting
screws.
Fasten coverings (72 and 73) with screws (37 and 63).
Tighten set-screws (29).
Assemble gripper on the machine/automated system.
Secure all compressed air lines.
