Installation
CAUTION
Risk of injury!
The appliance is heavy and bulky.
■ Get another person to help with mov-
ing and installation.
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the microwave
may result in damage or cause a fi re.
Heat trapped inside the appliance may
shorten its service life.
■ Ensure suffi cient ventilation. Do not
cover the vents, for example with
oven mitts or cookery books!
■ When installing the appliance, follow
the dimension specifi cations for ven-
tilation.
■ Never remove the cover that is fas-
tened to the right-hand cooking
chamber wall! It is designed to pro-
tect the magnetron, which emits mi-
crowaves.
Moving and unpacking
•
Move the appliance using a trolley or with
the help of a second person.
•
Carefully unpack the device and remove
all packaging items, plastic profiles, ad-
hesive strips and foam padding from in-
side, outside and from the back plate of
the device.
Installation
Installing the appliance
•
Only install the appliance in a cabinet that
has an open rear panel.
If necessary, have your fitted cabinets re-
worked accordingly. If you do not have the
manual skills to do this, you should hire a
professional.
•
Install the appliance so that the bottom
of the recess is at least 85 cm above the
floor.
•
Install the appliance in a recess that cor-
responds to the following illustration:

•
Install the appliance in such a way that
the ventilation openings are not covered.
•
Only install the appliance in kitchen cab-
inets whose veneers or plastic coverings
are bonded with heat-resistant adhesive
(100 °C). If the adhesive and surfaces are
not heat-resistant, the covering may warp
and come loose.
•
Ensure that an earthed socket is installed
in the recess or its immediate vicinity (see
the following section, "Connection").
•
Do not install the appliance directly next
to a refrigerator or freezer. The heat emit-
ted by the appliance will unnecessarily
increase their energy consumption.
