• Connectors with protection class IP67 / IP68 have a bayonet system. To achieve the degree of protection, tighten
the bayonet rings.
• Basically, without a tightly closed bayonet ring, you only achieve protection class IP44 (protection against splash
water and solid objects from one millimeter.

A. Version ALDEBARAN® SMARTLINE RP110 / RP72 EM (luminaire with emergency light function):
Functionality:
During mains operation, an integrated rechargeable battery is charged and monitored during lighting operation. In the
event of a power failure, the system switches to rechargeable battery operation. In rechargeable battery operation, the
luminaire is available with reduced luminous flux. When the mains returns, there is an automatic switchover to mains
operation. The full luminous flux of the LEDs is now available to you. The rechargeable battery is charged automatically
after the mains power returns. Please refer to the technical data for information on charging and lighting duration.
The LED display integrated in the lid is available for visual checking of the charge (A).
The following operating states are displayed (in mains operation):
LED lights up GREEN

Control element TEST button (B):
The emergency light function can be activated by pressing the button. This is purely a test function, the device function is
checked. As soon as the button is no longer pressed, the previous operating status is automatically restored. The test function
is only available in mains operation.
Control element button EM OFF (C):
The emergency light function can be interrupted during rechargeable battery operation by pressing the button.
It is not possible to switch the emergency light on again manually.
An automatic switchover to rechargeable battery operation only takes place after the mains power returns and the network
fails again.
B. Version ALDEBARAN® SMARTLINE RP72 EM SPECIAL:
The luminaire has no light function in mains operation. The integrated rechargeable battery is charged and monitored. In
the event of a mains failure, the luminaire switches to rechargeable battery operation.
In rechargeable battery mode, the luminaire is available with reduced luminous flux compared to the basic model. When
the mains supply returns, there is an automatic switchover to mains operation (no light function). The rechargeable battery
is charged automatically when the mains power returns. Please refer to the technical data for information on charging and
operating time. The LED display integrated in the lid provides a visual check of the charge (A).
