FIELD OF APPLICATION/OF OPERATION
• Use the appliance for domestic purposes only and in the way indicated in these
instructions.
• This appliance is intended to be used for domestic applications and similar
applications such as:
Kitchen corners reserved for personnel in shops, offices and other

professional environments.
Farms.
o
The use by clients of hotels, motels and other environments with a

residential character.
Environments of the "bed and breakfast" type.
o
BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION
For the perfect taste, operate the jug kettle with fresh water in order to clean any residue
left from the manufacturing process. When the appliance has cooled down, repeat the
process 3 times with fresh water, before rinsing.
OPERATION
•
Always remove the jug from the power base before filling it or before any operation.
•
Open the lid by pressing its release button and fill the tank with fresh water, paying
attention not to fill under the minimum mark and above the maximum mark on the
water level indicator. Close the lid by pressing it down until you hear a click. Make
sure it closes correctly.
•
Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket and switch on by pressing
down the switch on the handle.
•
The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled. However, you
can stop the jug kettle anytime pressing upwards its switch.
•
If you take the jug from the power base when it is switched on, the appliance switches
off automatically. When putting the jug back onto the power base, switch it on again.
SAFETY CUT-OUT
•
This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device which switches the
appliance off if it is accidentally switched on without water.
•
In this case, switch off the appliance and wait about 10 minutes for the element to
cool. Then fill the jug kettle with cold water. This will reset the safety device. The kettle
may then be used as normal.
