To also empty the red pipe connected to the
electronic vacuum gauge, also open the red tap
with the word "HIGH" on the manifold.

Check the degree of vacuum that the pump can
reach, then refer to the value reached on the
vacuum gauge.

Always in the same conditions, after a few minutes:
- Close the yellow "VAC" tap
- Turn off the vacuum pump (which must be fitted
with a shut-off valve)

Check that the vacuum gauge does not show a
lowered vacuum level compared to when the
pump was running. This operation also serves to
ensure that the pipes used are not worn out and
therefore at a loss.

When the vacuum gauge shows an adequate
degree of vacuum, wait a few minutes and proceed
with the following operations:
- Close the yellow "VAC" tap.
- Switch off the vacuum pump.
- Check that the vacuum gauge does not show a
lowered vacuum level compared to when the
pump was running.

If the reading value of the vacuum degree does not
change (therefore a symptom that the refrigerant
circuit does not show any losses):
- Reactivate the vacuum pump.
- Open the tap called "VAC".
- Perform the emptying operation again for a few
minutes.

Close the cocks named "LOW", "VAC" and "HIGH".
- Wait a few minutes and then turn on the unit in
Cooling mode.
15.
Additional charge; If the installation, in reference
to the length of the lines, requires an additional
charge of refrigerant gas, proceed as follows:
- Turn on the unit in operation in Cooling mode.
- Leave the low pressure line of the gauge unit
connected.
- Keep the tap called "VAC" closed.
- Connect the refrigerant gas bottle to the pipe
connected to the manifold connection (see
connection highlighted with circle in the figure).
- Open the cylinder tap (which must be fitted with
a suction tube).
- Purge the air from the pipe leaving the fitting
slightly unscrewed on the manifold until the gas
comes out, then quickly tighten the fitting.
- Open the tap called "LOW".
- Place the cylinder on an electronic scale.
- Then open the "REF" tap with short strokes until
the required quantity of refrigerant enters.
