3-3.2 NOTES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF REFRIGERANT PIPES
When connecting the indoor unit to the connection
pipe, do not force the connections of the indoor
unit, this may cause breakages and leaks in the
capillaries of the indoor unit and in the other pipes.
The connection tube must be supported by a
suitable bracket. The weight of the hose must
not be supported by the unit.
To avoid leaks and condensation on the
connection pipes, these must be covered with
thermal insulation, wrapped with adhesive tape
and insulated from the air.
The connection piece to the indoor unit must
be wrapped in thermal insulation. There must
be no cracks between the fitting and the wall of
the indoor unit.
After wrapping the tubes with protective
material, never bend them at an acute angle as
they may crack or break.
Use adhesive tape to cover the pipes and
to bind together the connection pipes and
cables. To prevent condensation from escaping
from the drain pipe, separate the latter from
the connection pipe and cables. Use thermal
insulating tape to wrap the pipes from the
bottom of the outdoor unit to the top end of
the pipe where it enters the wall. When using
duct tape, the last round should cover the first
round of tape in half.
To connect the indoor units to the refrigeration lines it is necessary to remove the plastic
closing protections of the Liquid / Gas connections and use the brass fittings supplied.
IF THE EXTERNAL UNIT IS INSTALLED LOW FROM
THE INTERNAL UNIT
The condensate drain pipe must be above the
surface of the ground and the end of the pipe
must not be immersed in water. All pipes must
be fixed to the wall by supports.
Wrap the tubes from the bottom upwards with
tape.
All tubes must be tied and taped together and
fixed to the wall using supports.
The hole in the wall must be sealed..
IF THE OUTDOOR UNIT IS INSTALLED UPON THE
INTERNAL UNIT
The pipe must be sloping and the end of the
pipe must be lower than the internal unit. The
condensate drain pipe must be above the
surface of the ground and the final part of the
pipe must not be immersed in water. All pipes
must be fixed to the wall by supports.
Wrap the tubes from the bottom upwards with
tape.
All tubes must be tied and taped together and
fixed to the wall using supports.
The hole in the wall must be sealed.
