i.e. with only very gentle pressure, using a slightly moist, pointed item since, otherwise,
the persistent dirt will result in a continuous blocking of the rotation of the feeding tray.
Please do not use chemical, abrasive or other aggressive cleaning agents and solvents on
your CATSOMAT. These could damage the surfaces of the device.

19. Safety advice

Please read all safety advice before using the device. Failures regarding adherence to the
advice can result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injuries.
- When in activated feeding mode, do not place your CATSOMAT on surfaces with under-floor heating,
in places exposed to direct sunlight or in a cupboard. Always ensure an adequate safety interval of at
least 10 cm to the side ventilation slots.
- Do not cover the device and its ventilation slots when in feeding mode. When switched on, the
device must be free-standing so that the cooling air can circulate. The ventilation slots must also be
cleaned at regular intervals through suction extraction.
- Ensure that the front feeding-tray opening is free from items at all times since, otherwise, either the
integrated infrared protection system will prevent rotating of the feeding tray or the item will block
the feeding tray with possible slight squeezing of the item.
- Only switch the device on using the ON/OFF switch when it is in use. Simply unplugging the
electricity cable is not sufficient.
- Please do not use the CATSOMAT as an automatic feeding device in pure battery operation, i.e.
without electricity connection. The battery integrated into the CATSOMAT is intended solely as
"emergency power aggregate" in the event of a power cut. New programming, e.g. of feeding times,
should be carried out exclusively in standard operation.
- Please pay attention to ensuring that no water can penetrate into the device.
- The cable of the adaptor cannot be replaced. In case the cable is damaged the adaptor must be
disposed of immediately and replaced by a new one.
- The CATSOMAT must not be used by persons with restricted physical, sensory or mental ability.
This is only possible if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or are given
corresponding instructions by this person.
