3. Using the instructions
The following formats and symbols are used in these instructions for use and on the CATSOMAT device
and its power supply unit:
Please read the instructions for use carefully in order to avoid application errors!
Do not dispose of with household waste . Please observe the advice contained in chapter
"Disposal".
The power supply unit complies with protection class II, i.e. it is equipped with reinforced
or double insulation.
Through the CE marking, the manufacturer confirms that this device complies with
applicable European directives.
The device complies with the requirements prescribed by applicable laws on device and
product safety (GPSG) and has obtained the seal of approval "GS /Gütesiegel = Quality
seal") from TÜV-Süd for tested safety.
Warnings which need to be observed in order to avoid the risk of injuries and to ensure
correct function.

4. Important advice

Please note that this electronic device was designed for the purpose of feeding cats. However, it is also
possible to provide food to small dogs and other pets with the CATSOMAT.
The device must only be used indoors and under observance of the advice contained in these
instructions. It must only be used outdoors if you can ensure that your CATSOMAT, including power
supply unit and power plug, can be protected sufficiently against precipitation and surface water. In
case of temperatures below +3° Celsius, you must not use the device outdoors.
Your CATSOMAT was designed exclusively for use in private households, and all other applications are
hereby expressly excluded. Please also note that it is vital to follow the contents of these instructions
for use as this is a precondition for the safe use of this device.
