CATSOMAT is only activated as automatic feeding device when the feeding mode is turned ON.
If the feeding mode is turned OFF, both cooling and the programming of
the feeding times are deactivated. This means that the feeding tray will
not be rotated. If the feeding mode is deactivated, your CATSOMAT is in a
purely standby mode and you can use it like a regular water or food tray.
The feeding mode will start as soon as you have exited the settings menu and
returned to the information menu.
Before you activate the feeding mode, you must put a feeding tray in place so that the
maximum number of possible feeding events can be identified by the photo lens. If this is not
possible, you will see the following advice in the information menu:
If this is the case, please open the lid of your CATSOMAT and insert a feeding
tray.
Should the advice appear although you have inserted a feeding tray, the photo
lens cannot identify the food tray. In this case, please remove the tray and
proceed as follows:
- Please clean the bottom surface of the removed feeding tray again with warm water and a little
detergent, in particular along the embedded, black-coated marking strips. Then dry the tray softly .
- Also clean the photo lens for the feeding tray with a moist, soft cloth (fig. 17), thereby thoroughly
removing streaks and residual dirt from the lens. Then dry the lens carefully.
- Re-insert the feeding tray into your CATSOMAT and close the lid until you can hear it lock in.
