The cooling is controlled by a built-in temperature sensor (point 15). The cooling remains in
operation as long as the actual temperature in the feeding tray (display temperature) is 1°C
warmer than the target cooling temperature programmed by you. Analogously, it switches
itself off as soon as the actual temperature is 1°C below the set temperature.
The permanently achievable cooling temperature depends on the following factors:
- Starting temperature of the food used
- Number of compartments filled with food
- Ambient temperature
- Use of the pre-warming function
- Time intervals between the individual feeding times with the pre-warming function switched on.
Depending on these factors, it is possible that the cooling temperature in the individual food
compartments will vary from the desired target temperature. Fundamentally speaking, however, your
CATSOMAT can cool the food to at least 12°C below the current ambient temperature..
Kindly note when commissioning your CATSOMAT that it may take some time for it to cool to
the desired target temperature depending on the above factors.
To ensure optimum cooling and thus also the optimum shelf life of the food filled into the tray, kindly
observe the following recommendations:
- Always fill your CATSOMAT with food pre-cooled in the fridge. This procedure ensures that the food
quality satisfies the very highest requirements even during the first hours following filling.
- When in activated feeding mode, do not place your CATSOMAT on surfaces with under-floor heating
or in places exposed to direct sunlight. Place it on a cool, shaded, level floor.
- Never overfill the food compartments as this impairs the cooling function and could result in
contamination.

13. Pre-warming

In the settings menu, you can use the item "preheat" to select whether the food should be heated up
prior to the respective feeding time. This function is activated or deactivated using the arrow buttons
and confirmed with the E-button. Pressing the C-button enables you to exit this menu item or to carry
out alterations.
