another is 3 m, and they should be inserted as deeply into the ground as possible. According to
the VDE (Association of German Electricians), the grounding for the fence and the house must
be separated from each other by at least 10 m.
In fo
Grounding stakes must be rustproof, since rust acts as an insulator. In dry spells, moistening
the grounding stakes often helps to improve the grounding and ensure sufficient voltage
on the fence. Normally 1–1.5 m stakes are used.
4. FENCE CONNECTION CABLE
This cable is used to connect the energiser to the electric fence. Here we also recommend a
high-voltage insulated cable. The device can be connected to the fence directly, or alternatively
via an intermediate lightning protection device or fence switch.
In fo
Depending on the type of conductor material, there are pre-assembled cables with eyelets
and connectors on the end for quick and easy attachment.

5. CONNECTING CABLES

Connecting cables are used to conduct power to all rows of the electric fence. They can be used
to connect two to three ruows with one another and distribute the electricity between them.
In fo
We recommend attaching connecting cables every 200–400 m, depending on the length
of the fence.

6. WARNING SIGNS

On public roads and paths, equipping electric fences with warning signs is mandatory. The signs
must be clearly visible, and attached to the fence approximately every 100 m.
In fo
Warning signs are available in various languages.

FAQ

Must an electric fence be connected in a circle?
No, because the electrical circuit is completed by the contact between animals or
overgrowth and the ground.
Can I connect several fences to the same energiser?
Yes, if the device has the corresponding level of power.
Can I connect two energisers to one electric fence?
NO, under no circumstances - risk to life.
Why should overgrowth on the electric fence be avoided?
Overgrowth (e.g. grass, branches) and power leakage (e.g. run-down insulators) cause ground
contact, so that the electricity is conducted straight into the soil, leading to voltage loss on
the fence.
