In case of damage in transit
Have the shipping agent confirm the damage.
Keep the packaging materials for inspection.
Notify the sender of the damage.
If necessary, contact your distributor for mediation.
Contact your HEIDENHAIN distributor or OEM for
replacement parts.

Installation location

NOTICE
Damage caused to the product by incorrect installation.
If the fan fails, the product may overheat, leading to
malfunctions or destruction of the product.
Horizontal or vertical installation of the product.
Locate the product such that it may be easily
accessed during operation.
Ensure proper ventilation.
Do not block the lateral vents or impair airflow.
The fan can be monitored by interrogating a
status word that can report a failure of the fan.
The temperature cannot be monitored.

Mounting the product on a countertop
Threaded holes in the housing bottom enable you to secure
the product with four M3 screws on a countertop.
For the hole locations, see "K".
Installing the product in a 19-inch electrical cabinet
(optional)
The product can be installed in a 19-inch electrical cabinet by
ID number
using a mounting bracket ("F" on the front fold-out page). A
height unit is required for the installation. For information on
671144-01
ordering the mounting bracket, see "Accessories", page 25.
Attaching the mounting bracket:
Remove the adhesive feet from the product, if
applicable.
Fasten the product to the mounting bracket using four
M3 x 4 screws. The screws are not included in the items
supplied.

Insert the mounting bracket with the product in the
electrical cabinet and fasten it using four screws.

If the product is placed on a surface, the
adhesive feet should be mounted in order to
prevent the product from moving.
