17.1 Cleaning of the device

The housing of the photometer can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Wipe off splashes immedi-
ately. The cuvette slot can be cleaned and dried with a soft, lint-free cotton cloth. In general,
photometers and cuvettes must always be kept clean. The cuvettes are cleaned with a lint-free
cloth.

18. Errors, sources and solutions

Malfunction or damage of the device due to incorrect maintenance. Maintenance of the
device may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
Depending on the operating status, different messages can be displayed. The source of the
error can be either an operating error or a malfunction of the device.

Contact MACHEREY-NAGEL for calibration.
Remove cuvette and confirm with
Plus
.
Check if batteries / recharchable batteries are
inserted or USB cable is plugged in.
Turn instrument off, wait 10 s, turn instrument
on.
Use another USB interface or a USB hub with
external power supply. The power supply must
meet the specifications in the technical data of
Plus
the PF-12
Set the date and time again and then restart the
device. If the date and time do not show the set
values, the battery of the real-time clock must
be replaced. Contact MACHEREY-NAGEL.
Use only the battery recommended by
MACHEREY-NAGEL for replacement.
Insert new batteries or charge the battery pack.
