7. Memory

The PF-3 features an internal memory for up to 50 measurements.
In addition to the actual result, the instrument also saves the date
and time of the measurement. If the memory is full, the instrument
overwrites the oldest data set once a new measurement is per-
formed.

7.1. Display memory

Within the display memory menu, you can find all saved results.
You can scroll between the results using
right hand corner of the screen, you see the number of the entry
and the total number of entries within the memory. If a value in the
memory is indicated with an exclamation mark, the value was mea-
sured with a method, whose factory-calibration was adjusted by the
user (see 6.10, page 25 ).

7.2. Export data

You can export data from the instrument's memory to a PC. This
option is only displayed in the screen if the instrument is actually
connected to a computer via the USB port. To do so, connect the
instrument to the USB port of your computer (see 3.3, page 19 ).
To transfer data, MACHEREY-NAGEL offers a special, free of
charge software for convenient data export. You can download the
respective software at www.mn-net.com/PF-3. You can find all
additional information in the software instructions, which are also
available on our website.

8. User-defined special methods

Besides the pre-programmed VISOCOLOR
tests, up to ten additional user-defined special methods can be
stored in the PF-3 device. For the creation and administration of the
user-defined special methods you need to install the NANOCOLOR
Data export software, which is available free of charge on the
MACHEREY-NAGEL homepage via www.mn-net.com/PF-3. For
further information please refer to the software manual of the data
export software, which can be downloaded free of charge from our
website.

9. Cleaning the instrument

Clean the housing of the instrument with a damp cloth. Wipe away
splashes as soon as possible. Clean and dry the cuvette slot with a
soft cotton tissue. Generally, tubes and photometer always need to
be kept clean. Clean the tubes with a lint-free cloth.
