Safety

2.1

Intended use

The appliance is intended for domestic use. It can be used safely
by untrained persons. The appliance can also be used in a non-do-
mestic environment, e. g. in a small business, as long as it is used
in the same way.
Any other use beyond that described shall be deemed inappropri-
ate. Observation of these instructions and of instructions for any
accessories used is also part of the correct use of this appliance.
The open vented (non-pressurised) appliance heats the potable
water almost to boiling point (max. 97 °C). Operate this appli-
ance exclusively with the open vented/sealed unvented kitchen
tap HOT 3in1.
The HOT 3in1 kitchen tap is a combination of a non-pressurised tap
for hot water and a pressure-tested tap for cold water and DHW.
Flushing recommendations
Water is one of the most important substances needed for life
and as such is subject to very high standards. We should like to
suggest some key tips to make sure that the SNU HOT hot water
boiler always complies with these standards.
In certain cases, storing hot water can cause the taste or smell of
the water to change. This may be due to substances that enter the
appliance with the water from the mains. We therefore recom-
mend that you use the HOT water filter system as a general rule.
The storage process itself may also affect the water, irrespective
of the material used to manufacture the cylinder. This kind of
change is much more likely to be due to long standing times.
The SNU HOT has a polypropylene (PP) cylinder. This material is
one of the most commonly used plastics, especially in the food
industry. The SNU HOT has all the relevant certificates for domestic
hot water heating, and any possible change in water quality due
to long standing times in the cylinder will have absolutely no
health risks.
To prevent any undesirable effects on water quality, you should
also follow the generally applicable standards for water installa-
tions when using the SNU HOT. These state that the water should
not be left to stand for long periods or that regular flushing is nec-
essary. In specific terms, we recommend drawing off a minimum
of approximately 2 litres of water per day from the SNU HOT. If
