climate device. The outer insulation
of the cable can only be peeled off
from the part that is in the device
housing.
• If the connecting and installation
cables are located higher than 1000
mm from the floor of the sauna room
or inside the walls of the sauna room,
they must be able to withstand a
temperature of at least 170 °C (e.g.,
SSJ). Electrical equipment installed
in the steam room below 1000 mm
must withstand a temperature of at
least 125 °C (e.g., T125).
• The recommended cross-section
of the connection cable grooves is
given in Table 1 (see pages 10–11).
NB! The sauna climate device may only be
connected by a professional electrician in
accordance with the applicable regulations!
USAGE IN PUBLIC
SAUNAS (HOTELS, SPAS,
WELLNESS CENTRES, ETC.)
A public sauna is defined as being used
by uninstructed persons. In a public sau-
na, heating will occur for extensive hours
(more than six hours per day) therefore a

protective screen must be used, as shown
in Figure 3.
It is not permitted for public visitors to
access control units!
In order for a general visitor to have a true
Saunum sauna experience, a Saunum de-
vice fan must be activated by separate
means. A simple configuration example can
be seen in Figure 6.
Fan button are preset with one speed and
timer setting.
As the fan function becomes essential for
steam, an integrated automatic solution
can be applied, where water is sprayed on
the stones at the touch of a button, which
also activates the sauna fan function for
3 to 5 minutes.
Three different speeds can be configured.
Public sauna solutions are sold separately.

NB! It is forbidden to use the fan func­
tion continuously or on a separate
schedule as this does not comply with
the operating instructions of the device.
The Saunum fan function is intended for
use ONLY when people are in the sauna.
If there are no people in the sauna, the
sauna fan function must be switched
off!
