c) Melody or siren playback
• To play a melody, briefly press the MUSIC/SIREN button.
• To enable a siren, press and hold the MUSIC/SIREN button.
• Briefly pressing the MUSIC/SIREN button again stops the playback.
d) USB or memory card operation
The device is equipped with a USB port and a micro SD memory card reader. MP3 files stored
on these media can be played.
Do not connect a battery-operated MP3 player to the USB port. The power supplied
via the USB port can charge the batteries and therefore cause the batteries to
overheat and even explode.
USB media and micro SD memory cards with a maximum capacity of 64 GB are
supported. Media have to be formatted in FAT32.
Only USB data carriers can be operated via the USB interface. MP3 players with a
USB port automatically switch to the PC mode when plugged into this port. Playback
of audio files is not possible in this mode.
We cannot guarantee that all USB and SD data carriers will be recognised due to
their manufacturer-specific functions and that the functionality of those recognised
will not be restricted.
In case the storage medium can not be recognised, pull it out and plug it in again.
• Plug the USB data carrier into the USB port.
• Insert a micro SD memory card into the micro SD card reader.
• The device will automatically switch to respective input and the playback will start.
• The medium that was connected last is always selected automatically.
• Three buttons shown below are responsible for the playback:
