Factors that could influence the exposure level present
at any given time in the work area include the duration
of exposure, the nature of the working area, other noise
sources etc. e.g. the number of machines and neigh-
bouring processes.
The permitted workstation values can also vary from
country to country. However, this information should
enable the operator to better evaluate the hazards and
risks.

Wear hearing protection!
Excessive noise can result in a loss of hearing.
Keep the noise level and vibration to a minimum!
• Only use faultless devices.
• Maintain and clean the device at regular intervals.
• Adapt your working methods to the device.
• Do not overload the device.
• Have the device checked if necessary.
• Switch the device off if it is not in use.

Unpacking

• Open the packaging and carefully remove the de-
vice.
• Remove the packaging material, as well as the
packaging and transport safety devices (if present).
• Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
• Check the device and accessory parts for trans-
port damage.
• If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of
the warranty period.
• Familiarise yourself with the product by means of
the operating instructions before using for the first
time.
• With accessories as well as wearing parts and re-
placement parts use only original scheppach parts.
Spare parts can be obtained from your specialist
scheppach dealer.
• When ordering, please provide our article number
as well as type and year of manufacture for your
equipment.

8. Before commissioning

Always make sure the device is fully assembled
before commissioning!

The machine is designed for working in enclosed

spaces and must be set up securely on a level and firm

surface. The stability is to be screwed down on a work-
bench or a fixed machine stand on the floor by fasten-
ing with 4 frame brackets and 4 hexagon bolts M6x12
each with a nut and washer. (Fig. 22, 23).

Assembly and operation

Observe the safety instructions before the com-
missioning.
m Attention!
All protective devices and covers must be installed be-
fore any work is carried out on the machine. The top
and bottom band wheel is clad by a firmly attached pro-
tection and a moveable housing cover. The machine is
switched off when the housing cover is opened. It can
only be switched on with the cover closed.
• The saw table must be mounted correctly.
• The saw band must be able to run freely.
• In case of previously machined wood, be aware of
any foreign bodies, such as nails or screws, etc.
• Before pressing the on/off switch, make sure that
the saw band is correctly fitted, and that moving
parts run smoothly.
• Before connecting the machine, make certain that
the data on the type plate matches with the mains
power data.
