-
Close the doors to rooms you do not want the robot vacuum cleaner
to clean.
-
Before you start to clean, clear the floor of loose objects such as toys,
magazines and shoes. Move aside the mains cords of other appliances.
-
If you want the robot vacuum cleaner to charge itself automatically in
the event its battery runs low, place the base station in the room it is
cleaning.
-
Do not pick up or move the robot vacuum cleaner when it is cleaning.
If you do this, the robot vacuum cleaner loses its bearings and skips
areas of the floor. If this happens, press the power button on the robot
vacuum cleaner or on the remote control to stop cleaning. Then press
the start/pause button on the robot vacuum cleaner or on the remote
control to start cleaning the room all over again.
-
To find the most efficient way to clean the floor, start the robot
vacuum cleaner from different places in the room. The robot vacuum
cleaner makes a map of the layout of the room every time it cleans. It
uses this map to determine its cleaning pattern. If you move furniture,
it creates a new map. The cleaning time depends on the size and layout
of the area to be cleaned and on the cleaning mode selected and the
starting point of the robot vacuum cleaner.
-
The default cleaning mode of the robot vacuum cleaner is the auto
cleaning mode. This mode is suitable for cleaning most floors. For more
information on the cleaning modes, see section 'Cleaning modes' in
chapter 'Using the appliance'.

how the robot vacuum cleaner works

how the robot vacuum cleaner finds its way around
The robot vacuum cleaner finds its way around by making a map with
its camera and sensors. It uses this map to determine the most efficient
route to clean the floor. It also uses the map to remember which areas it
has cleaned and which areas it still has to clean. The robot vacuum cleaner
makes a new map every time it cleans. If you change the layout of the
room, it creates a new map to find its way around. Thanks to its map, the
robot vacuum cleaner always knows where it is, where it has been and
where it needs to go.
When it cleans, the robot vacuum cleaner takes pictures of the ceiling with
its camera. It uses these pictures to create a map of the room and uses the
map to navigate through the room.
The robot vacuum cleaner uses more than 20 sensors to avoid walls and
objects such as chairs and standing plants and to prevent getting stuck on
objects higher than 15mm such as the base of a lamp. The sensors in the
bottom of the robot vacuum cleaner prevent it from falling down steps or
stairs.
how the robot vacuum cleaner cleans
The robot vacuum cleaner has a roller brush, two side brushes and
a suction system. It collects all dust in the integrated removable dust
compartment.
Make sure you empty the dust container after every use and do not forget
to clean the roller brush and the side brushes from time to time. For more
details, see chapter 'Cleaning and maintenance'.
