Distinction between debit cards and credit cards in the .ini file

The telegrams generated by debit cards and credit cards differ in certain typical
characters (e.g. space characters) at specific positions of the telegram and
sometimes also in the telegram length, depending on the cash dispenser type and
the computing centre. These typical characters can be identified by their ASCII
codes.
Distinctive feature: Position of the typical character
1. Search the .ini file for the entry ECKKPOS=.
2. Enter the position of the typical character, e.g. 39, after ECKKPOS=.
Example:
ECKKPOS=39 // ECKKPOS: Position of the feature that distinguishes between debit card
and credit card
Distinctive feature: ASCII code of the typical character
3. Search the .ini file for the entry ECKKCHAR=.
4. Enter the ASCII code of the typical character after ECKKCHAR=, e.g. the
figure 32 for a space character.
Example:
ECKKCHAR=32 // ECKKCHAR: Character for the distinction as an ASCII code
//e.g. Chr(32) = " „
In some cases, the telegrams generated by credit cards are longer.
Distinctive feature: „Telegram length"
5. Search the .ini file for the entry ECKKDIFLEN=.
6. Enter the difference in the telegram length of the two card types after
ECKKDIFLEN=, e.g. 7.
ECKKDIFLEN=7 // Difference in the telegram length between debit and credit card, e.g. 7
Example:
The telegrams of debit cards have a space character at position 39.The telegrams
of credit cards never have a space character at that position. A space character
has ASCII code „32".
