Activating the child lock
• You can lock the buttons to prevent the unit from being switched on accidentally
(e.g. by children).
• When the child lock is activated, all buttons except the On/Off button and the
Stop&Go function button are disabled.
• To activate the child lock, press the button
Deactivating the child lock
• To cancel the key lock, make sure the unit is switched on.
• Press and hold the key
• You can now use all the keys again.
Note: When child lock is active, all buttons are disabled except the power button
and the Stop&Go function button. This means that the unit can always be switched off
in an emergency. However, the child lock must be deactivated again before the next
use.

Overheating protection

The unit has internal overheating protection. As soon as the unit detects overheating, it
switches off automatically.
Detection of small objects
When using cookware of unsuitable size or cookware that is not suitable for induction
(e.g. aluminium) or if other small objects (e.g. knives, forks, keys) are placed on the
hob, the appliance automatically switches to standby mode after one minute. The fan
continues to run for another minute.
Time until automatic shutdown
The automatic shutdown is a protective function of your device. If you forget to switch it
off after cooking, the hob will switch off automatically after a time preset at the factory.
The times differ depending on the performance level, as can be seen in the table below:

When the pot is removed from the hob, the appliance stops heating automatically and
switches off automatically after 2 minutes.
