PSS-224A/B
INDICATORS IN FRONT PANEL
On the left side you can find 3 LEDs. The green LED lights up
when the power supply is connected. The red LED lights up
when the emergency wire is connected to "0V". The yellow
LED lights up when PSS-224A/B has detected an error.
Beneath the 3 LEDs you can find a reset switch. With this
tact switch you can reset a
PSS-224A/B.
In the white marked sections, you can find the relay card
LEDs. When a relay is switching, the appropriate LED lights
up.
INTERNAL AUDIO CONECTOR
The 6 pin pinheads to the left of that XLR-output connector
are used as internal audio connection. One 3 pin text module
and one 3 pin chime module can be plugged in here. These
pinheads are connected parallel to the external audio bus
which leads from the remote microphones. This means, if
PSS-224A/B is muting the connected modules are muting
too.
The XLR-output connector for amplifiers is terminated with 1
kOhm. Optocoupler OTP1, which is situated between audio
bus and XLR socket fades the signal softly in or out.
The audio bus is completely symmetrical and ground
free. Each internal and external component has an output
transformer, switched to the bus by a relay with gold contacts.
So there is always only one active device on the audio bus.
The output impedance stays stable.
The pinning is:

DIE ANzEIGEN AN DER FRONTSEITE
An der linken Seite findet man drei Leuchtdioden. Die grü-
ne Leuchtdiode zeigt an, ob die 24 V Versorgungsspannung
vorhanden ist. Die rote Emergency-Leuchtdiode leuchtet,
wenn die Emergency-Leitung Verbindung zu „0V" hat. Die
gelbe Error-Leuchtdiode leuchtet, wenn das PSS-224A/B
eine Störung erkennt. Unter den 3 Leuchtdioden befindet
sich ein Reset-Taster. Mit diesem Taster kann das System
auf eine Alarm- oder Fehlermeldung wieder zurückgesetzt
werden. In den weiß hinterlegten Feldern sind die Leuchtdio-
den der Relaiskarten angeordnet. Sobald ein Relais schaltet,
leuchtet die entsprechende LED rot.
DER INTERNE AUDIOANSCHLUSS
Die 6-polige Stiftleiste, links neben der XLR-Ausgangs-
buchse, ist für den internen Audio-Anschluss von zwei
3-poligen Steckern der Gong- und Textmodule vorge-
sehen. Dieser Anschluss liegt parallel zum externen Au-
dio-Bus, der von den Sprechstellen kommt. Demzufolge
wirkt das Muting im PSS-224A/B auch auf alle internen
Komponenten. Die XLR-Ausgangsbuchse zum Verstär-
ker ist mit 1kOhm abgeschlossen. Optokoppler OPT1,
welcher zwischen Audio-Bus und XLR-Ausgangsbuchse
angeordnet ist, blendet das Signal weich ein oder aus.
Der komplette Audio-Bus ist symmetrisch erdfrei ausgeführt.
Jede interne und externe Komponente hat einen Ausgangsü-
bertrager, der jeweils über ein Relais mit Goldkontakten vom
Bus getrennt wird. So ist gleichzeitig immer nur maximal eine
aktive Komponente am Bus; die Impedanzverhältnisse sind
gleichbleibend.
Die Pinbelegung der Stiftleiste ist:
