FIRMWARE UPDATE PSS-224A/B
Before starting a firmware update, all settings should be
read out from the device using ProLineConfig software.
All data should be saved in a file, because with the
firmware update all data in the EEPROM is erased.
The erased data is: control data (error statistics), configuration
data (number of relay cards, chime module, text module) and
program data (background music lines, all call lines, alarm
Lines, purpose relay 0, purpose relay 1-8, chime volume and
text volume).
After the firmware update is done, the following procedures
have to be done using ProLineConfig software:
• In menu "Configuration ProLine" set the number of
actual installed relay cards and option modules or load a
formerly stored file with the correct data.
• Transmit this data to the PSS-224A/B by opening menu
"Configuration ProLine" and clicking on "Transmit".
• Get configuration data by clicking on "Receive" verify it
and close menu by confirming "O.K."
• Click on "Speaker Selector PSS-224A/B", do all setting
or load a formerly stored file with the correct data and
transmit it to the PSS-224A/B by clicking on "Transmit".
Is the number of relay cards higher than the actual
programmed one and it is tried to activate a not installed
card, you will hear a beep on the remote microphone while
pressing the "TALK" button.
The same error sound you will hear if a relay card PRC-008
is defective, not installed properly, the ribbon cable PFK-200
for extension units PEU-056A not plugged in correctly, or the
address jumper for PEU-056A are not plugged in correctly.

DEM PPA-001 UND PONYPROG2000
Der PPA-001 ist zum Brennen eines Firmware-Updates der
Geräte PSS-224A/B, PRM-108A und PDM-208A erforder-
lich. Er wird am PC an die parallele Schnittstelle LPT-1 ange-
schlossen (Druckerport) und geräteseitig an die „Remote"-
Buchse. Vor dem Herunterfahren des angeschlossenen PC's
soll der Programmieradapter von der Remote-Buchse ge-
trennt werden, da sich sonst das angeschlossene Gerät in
einem undefinierten Zustand befinden kann.
Wichtig:
Schließen Sie vor Brennbeginn möglichst alle anderen Pro-
gramme, da der zeitliche Ablauf des Brennens nicht unter-
brochen werden darf und die neuen Daten sicher übertragen
werden können.

nyProg2000 ab 2.06f. PonyProg2000, Pro-Line Config und
die neuesten Updates finden Sie auf der mitgelieferten CD-

Laden Sie die Programme und Updates herunter, und legen
Sie diese in einem Verzeichnis ab
Wichtig:
Vor einem Firmware-Update sollten die Einstellungen mit
ProLineConfig ausgelesen und im PC gespeichert werden,
weil alle Daten, die im EEPROM des Controllers abgelegt
sind, überschrieben werden könnten. Dazu gehen Sie fol-
gender Maßen vor:
- Konfiguration empfangen (bei PSS-224A/B Update)
- Lausprecherlinien Programmierung empfangen (bei PSS-
224A/B Update)
- PSS-224A/B Service Einstellungen empfangen (bei PSS-
224A/B Update)
- Sprechstellen Programmierung empfangen (bei Sprech-
stellen Update)
- Sprechstellen Service Einstellungen empfangen (bei
Sprechstellen Update)
