1. Relay outputs as switching contacts
The
100V
output
connected to the working contact. The switching contact
is usually connected to a speaker.
2. Digital bus connector
The wiring of the bus connector is shown later on in detail.
3. Audio output, symmetric, ground free
Here you can find the amplified microphone signals and
the output signal of emergency and chime module. This
output should be connected to the input of your 100V
amplifier.
4. Extension connector for PEU-056A
In this connector the PFK-200 ribbon cable must be
plugged in to connect PSS-224A/B basic unit with up to
three PEU-056A extension units.
5. Connector for firmware update
This connector is used for uploading a new firmware.
The PPA-001 firmware programming adaptor has to be
plugged in here.
6. Power supply connector 24V DC
The 24V switching power supply (PSU-XXX/24) has to be
connected on this plug to supply the PSS-224A/B, PEU-
056A, the obligatory reception output and all remote
microphones of the hole bus.
7. Module slot
Optional special function modules can be mounted into
this slot (for example PIC-208).

1. Relaisausgänge als Umschaltkontakt

Hier wird normalerweise der 100V-Ausgang von einem
Verstärker mit dem Arbeitskontakt verbunden. Der Pol-
kontakt wird mit dem Lautsprecher verbunden.
2. Digital-Busanschluss
Die Beschaltung wird später genauer beschrieben.
3. Audioausgang XLR symmetrisch potentialfrei
Hier liegen das verstärkte Mikrofonsignal und die Aus-
gangssignale des Gong- und Alarmmoduls an. Der Au-
dioausgang wird mit dem Eingang eines ELA-Verstärkers
verbunden.
4. Erweiterungsanschluss für Slave-Geräte
In diese Buchse wird das Flachbandkabel PFK-200 ein-
gesteckt, welches das Grundgerät PSS-224A/B mit bis
zu drei Erweiterungsgeräten PEU-056A verbindet.
5. Anschlussbuchse für Softwareupdate
Diese Buchse wird benutzt, um mit dem Firmware-Pro-
gramm-Adapter eine neue Firmware auf das Gerät auf-
zuspielen.
6. Anschlussbuchse für 24V Gleichspannung
Hier werden die 24 V Versorgungsspannung vom Schalt-
netzteil (PSU-XXX/24) angeschlossen, welches die PSS-
224A/B, PEU-056A, die Pflichtrufausgänge sowie alle
Sprechstellen des gesamten Busses versorgt.
7. Modulschacht für Zusatzmodule
In diesen Modulschacht können optionale Zusatzmodule
eingebaut werden (z.B. PIC-208).
