FOR NORMAL INPUT USE
The entrance with the lowest number has the highest pri-
ority when use as normal entrance within the entrance of
the same type. Active entrances with lower priority are igno-
red until the entrance of higher priority is released. An active
input module occupies also the occupying line, so that the
substations must wait, until the bus becomes again free. The
input module has priority in the non case of emergency also
opposite the substations.
If a gong was programmed, an impulse of approx. 200ms at
the appropriate entrance is sufficient, in order to set the pro-
grammed line allocation. Only at expiration of the gong the
PSS-224A/B shifts back again independently to background
music.
FOR ALARM INPUT USE
Individual alarm zones can be programmed, add themselves
in the case of several active entrances independently of the
priority, even if at a later time still another zone is added.
Also programmable is the activation of the alarm sound is
separate with existing PCM-100A for each zone. The alarm
sound is taken over by the zone activated first. In addition, it
can be programmed separately without lines on entrance 1
(entrance with highest priority within the input module) and
be switched on or off thus in the alarm conditionover the
input module at will. Only if all alarm entrances are again de-
activated, the PSS-224A/B shifts back to background music
and / or a straight active entrance of lower priority. If one or
more alarm entrances are active, a substation can be used
nevertheless for announcement purposes. During speaking
the alarm tone is switched off. As soon as the substation re-
leases the bus again, the previous condition is restored and
the alarm tone activates, if it were configured.
Active alarm entries does not occupy the occupying line. The
substations have thus priority before the alarm over the input
card. Can be configured to background, normal and alarm
entrances also mixed. This sequence is to be observed:
alarm entrance on the first, normal entrances on the middle,
background entrances on the latter.

NUTzUNG ALS NORMALEINGANG
Der Eingang mit der niedrigsten Nummer hat bei Nutzung als
Normaleingang die höchste Priorität innerhalb der Eingänge
des gleichen Typs. Aktive Eingänge mit niedrigerer Priorität
werden solange ignoriert, bis der Eingang höherer Priorität
freigegeben wird. Ein aktives Eingangsmodul belegt auch die
Besetztleitung, so dass die Sprechstellen warten müssen,
bis der Bus wieder frei wird, d. h. das Eingangsmodul hat im
Nicht-Alarmfall auch Vorrang gegenüber den Sprechstellen.
Wurde ein Gong programmiert, genügt ein Impuls von ca.
200ms am entsprechenden Eingang, um die programmierte
Linienzuordnung zu setzen. Erst nach Ablauf des Gongs
schaltet die PSS-224A/B dann wieder selbständig auf Hin-
tergrundmusik zurück.
NUTzUNG ALS ALARMEINGANG
Es können einzelne Alarmzonen programmiert werden, die
sich im Fall mehrerer aktiver Eingänge, unabhängig von der
Priorität, addieren, auch wenn zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt
noch eine Zone dazukommt. Ebenfalls programmierbar ist
die Aktivierung des Alarmtones bei vorhandenem PCM-100A
für jede Zone separat. Der Alarmton wird von der zuerst akti-
vierten Zone übernommen. Er kann aber auch separat ohne
Linien auf Eingang 1 (Eingang mit höchster Priorität inner-
halb des Eingangsmoduls) programmiert werden und damit
im Alarmzustand über das Eingangsmodul beliebig ein- oder
ausgeschaltet werden. Erst wenn alle Alarmeingänge wieder
deaktiviert sind, schaltet die PSS-224A/B auf Hintergrund-
musik bzw. einen gerade aktiven Eingang niedrigerer Priori-
tät zurück. sind ein oder mehrere Alarmeingänge aktiv, kann
eine Sprechstelle trotzdem zu Durchsagezwecken genutzt
werden. Während des Sprechens wird der Alarmton abge-
schaltet. Sobald die Sprechstelle den Bus wieder freigibt,
wird der vorherige Zustand wiederhergestellt und der Alarm-
ton aktiviert, falls er konfiguriert wurde.
Ein aktiver Alarmeingang belegt die Besetztleitung nicht. Die
Sprechstellen haben also Vorrang vor dem Alarm über die
Eingangskarte. Hintergrund-, Normal- und Alarmeingänge
können auch gemischt konfiguriert werden. Dabei ist diese
Reihenfolge einzuhalten: Alarmeingänge auf die ersten Ein-
gänge, Normaleingänge auf die mittleren, Hintergrundein-
gänge auf die letzten.
