Heating up
6 to 8 minutes after switching on, steam begins to escape from the open exhaust steam cock. To remove
the air effectively, vent for 3 minutes, then close the steam exhaust tap (turn the knob clockwise).
CAUTION: Without hose connection danger from hot steam!
After approx. 3 minutes the pressure and desired temperature are reached.
The pressure is controlled via the central pressure control valve, steam is blown off regularly. The energy
supply is controlled by a thermostat in CV-EL units. To enable interaction, set the same temperature for
the valve and thermostat.
Sterilization / Holding time
The start is indicated by the first escape of steam from the pressure control valve. The set temperature
should be reached and the pressure indicator on the pressure gauge should be in the red or blue marking.
If necessary, set a timer.
After the sterilization time has expired, switch off with the green on/off switch.
ATTENTION: Danger of dry boiling and overheating if sterilization time is too long. The autoclave will be
damaged.
End of cycle – Cooling down
Make sure that the pointer of the pressure gauge points to zero, check the thermometer and the
indicator label on the chamber.
When heating glass bottles before opening them, wait until the temperature has fallen below 80°C,
for media or liquids below 70°C (after about 40 minutes). Otherwise danger of boiling delay. After
the temperature has fallen, open the steam release cock.

Opening

Open the steam release cock: Turn the orange knob to "open", this will open the exhaust valve, steam will
escape. Turn the lid counterclockwise and remove it. To improve drying, remove the basket from the
chamber and allow it to cool to room temperature before removing the load.
INCOMPLETE CYCLE: If, for any reason, the cycle is interrupted (by switching off or power failure),
the sterilization process has not been carried out correctly and must be repeated. Before opening,
follow the safety instructions for cooling
