Setting up the annexe
!
CAUTION! Risk of injury and material damage
Only attach the annexe to an awning tent that is
mounted into a fixed rail not into a cassette awning.
Do not use any type of compressor designed to inflate
car tires.
Only inflate the air poles into the green zone of the
pressure gauge of the hand pump supplied with the
main awning tent (7 – 8 psi/0.48 – 0.55 bar).
A
NOTICE! Material damage
Do not open or close the zippers by force.
I
NOTE
The annexe comes with heavy duty pegs. These will be
suitable for many sites but for some types of ground spe-
cial pegs will be needed. Ask your dealer.
Drive the pegs at a 45° angle away from the annexe into
the ground.
Peg each guy line in-line with the seam it starts from.
Keep the following tips in mind while setting up the annexe:
The figures provide a general overview of the set-up. The actual set-up
will vary slightly based on the model of awning tent and annexe.
Get help. The set-up is easier with more people.
After standing the annexe upright, check the corner pegs and re-peg
if necessary. The base of the awning should be taut and in a rectangu-
lar shape.
Peg the guy lines so that the annexe is under tension without distorting
the shape.
Check the guy lines from time to time to ensure adequate tension, if
necessary use the runners to adjust.
Set up the annexe as follows:
1. To protect the annexe from dirt and damage, lay down a ground-
sheet or footprint before unpacking.
2. Unpack the annexe.
3. Separate and identify the different components.
4. Remove the relevant side panel from the awning tent by un-pegging
and unzipping the panel.
5. Zip in the annexe to the awning tent making sure the zipper is not
inside out.
6. Inflate the air poles with the hand pump of the awning tent.
7. Peg out the annexe starting with the two comers closest to the awn-
ing, then the two far corners, and then the intermediate pegging
points.
8. Peg out the guy lines.
9. Ensure that the sides and roof of the annexe are taut. If necessary,
re-peg.
10. Peg down the corners of the inner tent groundsheet.
11. Go inside and attach the inner tent using the O rings on the inside of
the annexe ensuring that the door is facing to the front.

Cleaning and maintenance

A
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Do not use sharp or hard objects or cleaning agents for
cleaning.
Do not use alcohol based materials, chemicals, soap
and detergents for cleaning.
Remove bird droppings and tree resin as soon as
possible to avoid permanent damage to the material.
1. If necessary, clean the product with clean water and a soft brush.
2. Apply impregnation against water and UV radiation before each trip.
Storing the annexe
I
NOTE
Fully set up the annexe for cleaning.
Choose a sunny day for cleaning to ensure the material
will dry thoroughly.
1. Clean the annexe.
2. Air fully and ensure the annexe is totally dry before packing away.
3. Store in a well ventilated dry place.

Troubleshooting

I
NOTE
During first exposure to water there may be some
moisture at the seams. Through this moisture the threads
will swell and fill the holes that are created in the sewing
process.
A fully equipped spare parts kit should include:
4445103461
Waterproofer
Repair tape and repair solution
Silicone spray for the zippers
Spare pegs
