Connection
6.1
Pin layout
The connection depends on the type of encoder and the customer-specific specifica-
tions.
6.2
Connecting and testing encoder
Check whether all cables are laid.
Connect the encoder correctly as per the pin layout (see customer-specific dimen-
sional drawing).
Connect a suitable instrument, e. g. an oscilloscope.
Turn the drive shaft slowly and during this process monitor the output signal on the
instrument.
If the function is correct, a square-wave signal will be displayed (see Section
→ page
54).
