8 TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
Energiser does not work.
Leakage or short circuit on the fence.
The conductor has unfavourable properties
(thin conductor, high resistance).
Poor grounding, grounding rod too short,
corrosion, dry soil.
Leakage through vegetation on the fence.
Conductor on the ground (e.g. broken),
insufficient mechanical tension.
The insulator is defective, worn out.
Too long a fence. Was the correct energiser
used for the purpose?
Conducting material is tied together with knots,
insufficient connection.
WARNING AGAINST ELECTRICAL VOLTAGES
The energiser must be repaired only by an authorised specialist workshop.
NOTICE
There are no serviceable components in the energiser.

Solution
Disconnect the energiser from the fence and
then switch it on again! If the green LED flashes,
the unit is OK. Otherwise the unit is damaged
(contact your dealer)! Make sure the polarity is
correct when using batteries and rechargeable
batteries!
Never use a conventional cable for the power
line. We recommend using a high-voltage cable.
Use a high-quality conductor with low
resistance and a larger cross-section.
Ensure a high quality wiring of the conductors.
Add a rod, moisten the soil.
Remove vegetation (mow)!
Repair the fence, use special connectors,
tension the conductor!
Replace defective and weathered insulators.
Use an energiser suitable for the respective
length of the fence and for grazing animals
- contact a specialist dealer if necessary!
Use only suitable special connectors.
