7 START UP

To open the energiser, press both locking tabs (1) and at the same time lift the housing cover. Insert the 9V
battery into the box, connect (make sure the polarity is correct) and close the cover again.
Only for 9000-S and 12000-S:
The solar module is mounted on the handle and connected to the solar connection. With sufficient sunlight
the power supply is provided by the solar panel. The battery or accumulator are not charged via the solar
module. In bad weather / darkness the device automatically switches to battery operation.
NOTICE REGARDING OPERATION WITH 12V WET BATTERIES
The device has no deep discharge protection! When operating over 12V, the battery voltage must be
checked regularly to prevent battery damage.

Operation with 12V gel batteries with built-in deep discharge protection is possible with minimal
maintenance.
NOTICE
The energiser is not approved for operation via 230V mains adapter!
Press the on/off switch (5) and the unit will start working after a few seconds. The control LED flashes
green in time with the device, approximately every 1.3 seconds.
If the LED does not flash, check the battery connection or the battery voltage. In case of a faulty energiser,
please contact our customer service.
The control LED (8) provides information about the energiser function and the battery status.
• above 7.4 V battery voltage - LED flashes green, full pulse
• 4.9 V - 7.39 V battery voltage - LED flashes red, full pulse
• 3.6 V - 4.89 V battery power - ECO mode: extended time interval, reduced pulse
• below 3.6V - device switches off
