This appliance is designed to burn wood. It must not be used as a garbage incinerator nor to burn liquid fuels, coal and its derivatives.
When installing and using the stove, you must comply with local and national regulations as well as with European standards (1).
The stove heats up during operation, particularly the glass window. It remains hot for a long time, even when the flames are no longer visible.
Take care to prevent any contact with the stove (prevent children from going near it).
Before accessing the electrical connection devices, the power supply must be disconnected.
This appliance must be installed in accordance with the specifications of the applicable standards (1). Professional installation is recommended.
The instructions provided in this manual must be carefully followed. Keep this manual in a safe place.
The manufacturer's liability is limited to the supply of the appliance. The manufacturer is not liable for failure to comply with these instructions.
It is especially forbidden to:
- Place materials that could be damaged or affected by the heat (furniture, wallpaper, woodwork, etc.) close to the appliance.
- Install any type of heat recovery system not recommended by the manufacturer
- Use any fuel other than natural wood.
- Make any changes to the appliance or installation not indicated by the manufacturer. This would exempt the manufacturer from liability and
void the warranty. Only the spares recommended by the manufacturer should be used.
The person performing the installation work shall be fully liable for any failure to comply with the instructions set out in these documents.
Installations in public places are subject to the municipal health regulations of your local authorities.
The manufacturer reserves the right to change without prior notice the presentation and dimensions of the models, as well as their assembly, if
necessary. The diagrams and texts in this document are the exclusive property of the manufacturer and may not be reproduced without written
consent.
(1) In France, NF-DTU 24.1 covers flue ducting, NF-DTU 24.2 covers fireplaces equipped with a closed hearth or insert; NF-EN 13229 Open
hearths and solid fuel insert (available at AFNOR).
3. PREPARING THE EXISTING
EMPLACEMENT
Remove any combustible or heat-degradable materials on or
inside the fireplace (floor, sides, back and top) (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4,
Z5), depending on the chosen layout.
FLOOR
Make sure that the floor (Z3) can support the total load of the
hearth, cladding and hood. Otherwise, it will need to be reinforced.
To make maintenance easier, it is best to lay tiles (for example) in
the load area (Z5).
WALLS
Remove any coverings (wallpaper, panels or wall fabrics) from the
area of the future fireplace. Depending on the material of the wall,
apply the recommended solutions.
Surrounding walls
For walls closer than the recommended distances (zones 1 and 2),
take the precautions given in the table*.
CAUTION: Do not place combustible objects and/or
materials within 2m of the glass.

In the area where the hood will be installed (Z4), remove any non-
M0 (non-combustible) materials and insulate with rigid mineral
wool.
EXTRACTING COMBUSTION PRODUCTS
Pay special attention to smoke extraction and control (see DTU
24.1 and DTU 24.2).
If there is an existing flue pipe:
If the flue is not compatible (old, cracked, a lot of debris) it will be
necessary to fit:
THROUGH CEILINGS AND FLOORS
Flues have to be fitted at a minimum of 3 diameters distance
between the inner wall of the flue and the closest ignitable
element.
For corner installation
50 cm minimum
25 cm minimum
- Use mechanical means to clean away any soot (chimney
brush)
- Have a competent stove fitter check the condition of the flue
(stability, seal, material compatibility, section, etc.).
- a casing made of technically appropriate material,
- or a jacket
- or a new, adapted flue, made by a company that holds the
necessary permits.
For front installation
In the case of an appliance with side view,
the 50 cm distance should be increased to
1 m
