13. Bluetooth mode

You can play back tracks on this device wirelessly via Bluetooth from external devic-
es (e.g. an MP3 player or mobile telephone with Bluetooth).
 Press the FUNCTION button on the device once or multiple times until
BLUETOOTH appears on the display. Alternatively, press the BT button on the
remote control.

13.1. Pairing Bluetooth devices

 Press the /PAIR button to activate the pairing mode. Also activate the Blue-
tooth function on your external device and carry out the pairing process. Please
refer to the instructions for your device for this process. The name of the audio
system is "MD84597".
 If a password is requested on the display of the external device, enter the code
number "8888".
 The pairing process is now complete and the external device can now be used
from the audio system.
Playing back tracks and controlling the volume and special functions can be carried
out both on your external device and on the audio system. The functions that are
available are dependent on your external device and the software that you use.
 If you want to terminate the Bluetooth connection, switch off Bluetooth on the
external device or switch the source on the audio system.

13.2. Using the remote control (Bluetooth section)

If you want to control tracks using the remote control for the audio system, you
have the following options:
Press the VOL-/+ button to increase or decrease the volume.

Start or pause playback on the remote control with the  button in the BT
•
section.
Skip to the previous or next track with the  or  buttons.
•
Please note that not every function is available for every external end device. It is
possible that some functions will be shown on the display of the external end de-
vice.
14. Playback from the LINE IN and AUDIO IN
connection
Connect the external device as described in chapters "8.5. Connecting an external
device to the LINE IN connection" on page 83 and "8.4. Connecting an external
device to the AUDIO IN connection" on page 83. Control is via the external devic-
